Silver Musical Sectional Comb Snuff Box
Nice and early sectional comb musical snuff box.
The comb has 18 sections of 3 teeth and plays 2 tunes. The start/stop lever on the mechanism is of a very early type (one with the start/stop to the back of the case), it is one you’ll find on early golden musical snuff boxes. This clearly being a transitional type with the start/stop to the front.
The silver cast is in good condition and is French. It has partly faded hallmarks.
Included later carrying case and key.
