Rectangular silver guilded case with rounded corners.

The oval lid has an enamel painting on the exterior of a mountain view and on the interior brightly enamelled with flower bouquets on a turquoise ground. When activated the lid opens to reveal the singing and dancing feathered automaton bird. Turning his head, flapping his wings and tail and opening his beak while singing a joyful song.

The top, sides and base with engine-turned and scroll ornament furthermore beautiful 'champ-léver' technique (with different enamel colors) to the top of the case. At the end of the song the a small turquoise-feathered singing bird hides in a opening in a engraved and pierced oval grille. This is a the fusee movement inscribed ”Jacques Bruguier” and has 8 cam discs (4 sets of 2). The 4th set of cams very simular to Jacquet Dros singing bird song. The song sequence is 1-1-2-2-3-3-4
